2. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 Chủ đề Success
Some people argue that to perform well at work, we need to excel in maths. I disagree with this opinion. In my view, although there are certain benefits of maths to our work, excellence in maths is not a prerequisite for success.
It is undeniable that maths knowledge can benefit us at work. First, there are numerous tasks that are directedly related to maths, such as programming, processing and analysing data. A computer programmer cannot develop a program without proper maths knowledge. Moreover, a person who is numerate also possesses good logical thinking, which is essential for any field. For example, a lawyer who is good at maths and has great logical thinking can develop sound arguments that can help protect the benefits of his or her client in court.
However, being good at maths is never a precondition for success at work. Although logical thinking is important, learning maths is not the only way to improve this. Studying social sciences such as history can also help develop logical thinking because the learner has to thoroughly analyse historical events to draw lessons from these events. Furthermore, apart from logical thinking, there are other types of thinking that can also lead to success, such as artistic thinking. A person who excels at art can be as successful as one who is good at maths.
In conclusion, I believe that although maths brings certain benefits to us at work, we do not need to be good at maths to become successful.
