Đề bài yêu cầu mô tả một chuyến đi đáng nhớ bằng phương tiện công cộng, tập trung vào trải nghiệm cá nhân. Các yếu tố chính cần làm rõ bao gồm thời điểm diễn ra chuyến đi, loại phương tiện công cộng đã sử dụng, những hoạt động trong suốt chuyến đi, và cảm xúc cá nhân về hành trình đó. | Explain how you felt about the trip | Although the bus was noisy and crowded, I was quite at ease gazing out the window and enjoying the shifting landscape. What I liked most was forming an unexpected friendship with someone I had just met and she eventually became my closest friend at university, which made the long journey more bearable. From my perspective, I believe using public transport like a coach or train is very convenient and budget-friendly. It is also an environmentally sustainable choice thanks to the reduced emissions from this carpooling scheme. |

Do you think traffic jams would be reduced if people could travel on public transport for free?
From my point of view, less traffic congestion will be a definite result if public transport is available free of charge. One main reason for this is when there is no necessary fare for buses, trains or trams, more people will prefer commuting by public transport to their own vehicles. Therefore, the number of vehicles on the road would be greatly diminished, particularly during rush hours, leading to the reduction of traffic jams, which helps tackle this urban pressing issue.
Why do you think more and more people prefer to travel by plane?
To justify this, several reasons can be given. First, it is the fastest way to reach distant places, particularly international or cross-country trips. In today’s fast-paced world, I believe many people will not prefer to spend days travelling on the road when they can get to their destination in just a few hours by plane. Second, air travel has become more accessible recently. Thanks to the rise of low-cost airlines and online flight ticket promotions or discounts, flying is no longer something only wealthy people can afford. Last but not least, more and more people today like to discover new places worldwide and travelling through airway is the most pragmatic and optimal choice.
What kinds of obstacles do you think some local governments have to face when they develop transportation infrastructure?
A number of challenges local governments would face when improving transportation infrastructure might include financial constraints, public resistance and limited urban space. Firstly, large-scale projects like constructing new roads, installing metro systems or widening roads require massive amounts of money, which local authorities may lack. Next, the process of construction would cause noise or pollution affecting daily life of residents, thus, making local governments encounter public resistance. Finally, urban space is limited, especially densely populated cities, so expanding roads could lead to land acquisition, which is very complicated and controversial for authorities. Therefore, maybe in the long run, it is beneficial for residents’ lives, but short-term inconveniences are undeniable and a readiness for civil complaints and opposition is required.
