Đề bài: Some people think that the fittest and strongest individuals will win in sports. Some people believe that success in any sport is much related to mental strength. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. 

SAMPLE:

Physically strong athletes are thought to be more likely to achieve victory in sports. Those opposed to this say that to succeed in sports requires tremendous spirit. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument. This essay agrees that to win sports games, psychological factors play a more vital role.

It is clear that no players or teams can triumph over their opponents without determination. Competitors’ morale directly affects how they approach and perform in the match, and as a result, only those with a desire to claim victory will definitely try their best to overcome any rising difficulty by all means. In other words, success in any sports contest is prone to stem from contenders who have great drive. For instance, the Vietnamese national football team has surprised their home fans over and over again by defeating other strong Asian teams and breaking the record regardless of their shortcomings in physique and stamina.

On the other hand, it is believed that fit and strong players stand a much higher chance of having fruitful results. This is because the advantage of having physical strength can assist them to dominate their challengers effortlessly. However, unless the people who enjoy the benefit of having a strong body play with determination, a loss is absolutely imminent. For instance, Manchester United has been considered one of the greatest football teams of all time, but its players now lack the spirit to fight for their team and hence, it is inevitable that the team has yielded poor results even when playing against much weaker teams.

To conclude, although there is a likelihood that individuals with fitness and strength may prevail, mental strength is the key to all wins. Only when players compete without aspiration to beat their opponents are they guaranteed a defeat.
