INTRODUCTION:

Setting: việc học nhiều môn đã là bình thường

Thesis statement: mặc dù học 1 môn cũng có lợi ích, nhưng vẫn ủng hộ việc học nhiều môn hơn.

BODY PARAGRAPH 1:

Nhiều người tin rằng chỉ tập trung 1 môn thì:

Lợi ích: xây dựng nền tảng vững chắc về chuyên ngành đã chọn được đào tạo có bài bản, theo sát chương trình đào tạo → có cơ hội đào sâu vào chuyên môn → trở thành chuyên gia trong lĩnh vực đó mục tiêu nghề nghiệp được định hướng rõ ràng → xác định bước đi cần thiết để không bị phân vân giữa quá nhiều sự lựa chọn

Bất lợi: Bị áp lực bởi chương trình học nặng → Học sinh bị phân tâm, không phân bổ được thời gian hợp lý → không tập trung phát triển vào ngành họ muốn → làm ảnh hưởng môn chuyên ngành

BODY PARAGRAPH 2: tuy nhiên việc học nhiều môn giúp sinh viên toàn diện để chuẩn bị cho những thử thách và cơ hội trong công việc và cuộc sống

Có được nhiều kiến thức về nhiều lĩnh vực khác nhau → làm phong phú vốn hiểu biết và trải nghiệm bản thân → giúp hiểu rõ hơn về chính mình để xác định đúng đam mê, định hướng nghề nghiệp phù hợp
In a long run, sẽ hình thành transferable skills, học kiến thức ngành này bổ trợ cho ngành khác
VD: 1 sinh viên học Ngôn ngữ Anh chuyên về giảng dạy sẽ học 1 ít về thương mại, biên phiên để có cái nhìn đa chiều về ngành học → không những đưa ra lựa chọn nghề nghiệp phù hợp và tốt nhất cho tương lai, mà còn có thể áp dụng những kiến thức đó vào bài dạy.

CONCLUSION: Khẳng định lại quan điểm: Mặc dù học một môn có lợi, nhưng học nhiều môn vẫn mang lại nhiều lợi ích thực tiễn hơn.

2/ ESSAY

In the educational setting, it is common to witness many students scattering their effort and focusing on multiple subjects at the same time. Discussions emerge when some of them desire to mainly focus on the qualification of one major, while others maintain the conventional way of learning. Despite certain upsides of concentrating on one major, I personally agree with the latter statement and the reasons are delineated in the following paragraphs.

On the one hand, there is a deep-rooted belief that focusing solely on one subject is beneficial for students to establish a solid foundation for their future careers. When paying attention to a certain subject, career orientations are planned logically as they know what to be prioritized in the future. Students also do not have to face hesitation when coming to the part of choosing between an abundance of irrelevant subjects. Firmly adhering to the systematic curriculum could increase the chance of delving into the profound knowledge of the subject, which they gather gradually through years of research, turning learners into a leading professional afterward. Contrastingly, obtaining knowledge from a number of subjects simultaneously imposes greater strain on learners since it creates more burden in terms of allocating time and concentration.

In spite of the aforementioned challenges, it is also vital for them to study multiple subjects to have a comprehensive preparation to cope with massive obstacles and seize the opportunities along their career and life path. On that road, students can identify and recognise their passion, aiding them in determining appropriate career goals by diversifying the wisdom and experiences gained via different subjects. In the long run, these understandings can become transferable skills, which means knowledge from separate fields can subordinate each other, integrating them flexibly to deal with different hurdles. Take students majoring in English pedagogy for example, aside from the main subjects, they still have to learn other business, translating-related ones in order to widen their perspective about other fields, as well as have wider selections to choose from after graduation. Even if they continue with their teaching path, the skillset of translating can still be applied to the lessons to make them more comprehensive or they can use negotiating skills to better communicate and understand their students.

In conclusion, albeit having certain benefits in single-subject studying, learning additional subjects has more practical benefits that can help to overcome difficulties and welcome more chances on one’s future road.
