Đề bài: The chart below shows the unemployment rate and the number of people leaving Ireland from 1998 to 2008.

The given graph depicts Ireland’s unemployed proportions and its emigrating quantity across a period of twenty years from 1988

By general observations, the percentages of unemployed workforce are seen having steep descents within the time span, while emigrant’s statistics showed strong shifts throughout the survey. 

In the first two years, the unemployment rate fell sharply by 4% from an initial 17%. Although lighter in tendency, the emigrating population saw a similar decrease from approximately 63 thousand to 53 thousand people during the same time. In 1992, as the percentage of unemployed individual rose again to 15%, emigration’s count presented a significant dip down to around 35 thousand. From then, both the unemployment proportions and emigrating numbers lowered to roughly 12% and 29 thousand in 1996 respectively, before the prior experienced another significant drop to 8% in 1998 while the later remained stagnant.

From 1998 onwards, emigrants’ quantity took a slight decline by approximately 5000 people until 2002, as unemployment rate followed a similar but more intense and prolonged tendency to a bottom 5% in 2004. In the final four years, statistics on unemployed people rose again to 6%, while emigrating reports began showing a two-fold elevation to 55 thousand by the end.
